Hollinwell Golf Club

Hollinwell is renowned as one of the UK’s finest inland courses and was a well kept golfing secret. Now the word is gradually spreading and more golfers are discovering the joys of this stunning heathland course.

Set in the gently rolling hills of North Nottinghamshire in the heart of Robin Hood Country, only 10 minutes from the M1 J27, Hollinwell is more than just a beautiful, varied golf course.

The Official Ecologist to The R&A Championship Committee recently said “Notts Golf Club is one of the premier nature conservation sites within the UK, it is every bit a nature reserve as it is a golf course and indeed is well known for its nature conservation interests UK wide.”

Visitors receive a warm welcome at Hollinwell from proud staff and members and can also experience the fabulous championship course in it’s natural setting and a clubhouse with panoramic views over a course which is playable all year round with some of the best winter greens to be found.

Hollinwell has hosted many prestigious tournaments over its long history including Final Qualifying for The Open between 2017-2022, the Brabazon Trophy for the fifth time in 2015 (soon to be a record breaking 6th time in 2024) and in 2012 the R&A British Boys Championship which was won Matthew Fitzpatrick.
