The magnificent Open Championship and the excellent Seniors Open showcased two of England’s finest venues, and through the extensive TV coverage beamed around the world highlighted the professionalism and quality of golf in this country.
Royal St. George’s in Kent is blessed with two immediate neighbours in Royal Cinque Ports and Princes, and is one of the finest 3 stop tours to be found in the British Isles. Sunningdale is in the heart of the Surrey and Berkshire sand belt, where so many of the world’s great heathlands are congregated and where the legendary Harry Colt came to prominence. Many of our American friends have already worked out that both these two regions are relatively close to each other, and can be easily combined to experience a ravishing combination of links and heathland golf.
